Fire appoints Bernie Mooney as non-executive director to its EU board

FIRE – A LEADING DIGITAL PAYMENTS BUSINESS – ANNOUNCES THE APPOINTMENT OF BERNIE MOONEY, FORMER HEAD OF CONSUMER PROTECTION POLICY & CONSUMER RESEARCH FUNCTION AT THE CENTRAL BANK OF IRELAND, AS NON-EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR TO THE FIRE (EU) BOARD

Bernie Mooney, recently retired from the Central Bank of Ireland has joined the Board of Fire. 

As a regulatory veteran with an extensive career with the Central Bank of Ireland, Bernie joins other (group) non-executive directors Joe Caulfield, Enda Murphy, Mike Smith, Lucy McClements, and Chris Davies adding to a highly experienced team of regulatory and payments professionals.  

Bernie’s appointment comes at an exciting time as Fire is scaling its business and operations across Ireland and the UK. Among its thousands of business customers, Fire now also provides digital and open banking payment solutions to some of world’s largest financial institutions.
