Colm Lyon is one of Europe’s leading payments and fintech entrepreneurs. With a career spanning more than 30 years, Colm has built payment businesses, led change across the industry and supported the wider business community.

Paul Davey

Paul Davey, as CFO and Deputy CEO of Fire, holds key responsibilities including the oversight of the strategic business planning. Paul was previously the CFO of Realex Payments until its sale to Global Payments in 2015.

CHIEF PRODUCT OFFICER

Owen O Byrne

Owen started his career as a freelance IT solutions contractor. While working on Ulster Bank's website, he met Colm Lyon and co-founded Realex Payments in 2000. He was responsible for building the card payments platform and led its redesign in 2010.

Yvonne Sadlier

Yvonne joined in 2013 and is the Risk and Compliance Officer. She is responsible for ensuring that Fire complies with all relevant legislation and provides assurance to the board that key processes, controls and risks are managed effectively.

Mark DeRocher

Mark joined Fire with 17+ years of financial services experience in Canada, the US, Ireland & the UK. He worked at international companies like Accenture and Deloitte, holding various roles including managing scaled operations for a global technology company.

Shirley Siow

Shirley ensures Fire-UK complies with legislations and oversees the performance of outsourced functions within the group. She has 7+ years of compliance and risk management experience in financial services firms across the UK, Portugal, and Ireland.

Chair – Fire EU

Joe Caulfield

Joe, Chairperson of the Fire EU Board, brings significant banking industry expertise to the table. He has held senior roles at Ulster Bank, including Director of Treasury and Head of Corporate Services Operations, Risk, and Compliance, and previously served as Head of Treasury at Chase Bank Ireland Ltd.

Enda Murphy

Enda was formerly Operations Director at AIB Finance & Leasing and subsequently Head of domestic and international Card Acquiring for AIB. He joined Fire in 2021 as a Non-Executive Director, later being appointed to Chair of the Group Audit and Risk Committee in 2023.

Bernie Mooney

Bernie joined the Fire EU Board in 2023 after working at the CBI for 36 years, including 20+ years in management and leadership. Since 2010, Bernie led the Consumer Protection Policy and Research Function at the CBI, including working with the Department of Finance on domestic and EU consumer protection law and representing the CBI on EU committees.

Michael Smith

Mike worked for 20 years at NatWest, then UK Post Office and Raphaels Bank (a UK Credit Institution), where he established and led the Payments & ATM divisions whilst serving as a main board director. Mike has been a director of the UK FPSL, served on the LINK NMC and is Chairperson for Fire UK.

Chris Davies

With 50 years of experience in banking and payments, Chris held Senior Executive roles for 25+ years. His career at HSBC culminated as Head of Card Services before becoming President of Europe at Global Payments until retiring in 2022. He's a Non-Executive Director for Fire and advises leading companies like Global Payments, VPE Limited, First Global, and LDC.
